Watch for their joy

That lit-up look? That’s your compass. When their eyes shine and their energy expands, that’s alignment.

Let them respond

Instead of telling them what to do, offer choices and see what lights up their gut. Ask:
→ “Do you want to wear the blue or the red today?”
→ “Would you like to draw or play outside?”
You’ll often see a full-bodied YES. Or a very obvious no.

Honour their ‘no’

Generators feel pressure to say yes to make others happy. Teach them early that their “no” is wise and worthy.

Watch for frustration

Frustration is their red flag. It’s their design’s way of saying, “This isn’t aligned.” Instead of pushing harder, help them pause and re-centre.

Celebrate mastery

Generators love repetition—not because they’re stuck, but because they’re mastering. Let them repeat things they love without rushing them on to the next thing.

Lead by example

Children learn most by watching. When you follow your joy, you’re teaching them it’s safe—and powerful—to follow theirs too.
